Email Filter by Type

Group your email list by provider or domain, then download each group as its own file or merge the groups you pick.

About Email Filter by Type

The Email Filter groups an email list by provider, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook or iCloud, or by each exact domain. This makes it easy to analyse your customer base, compare business and personal addresses, or prepare data for separate campaigns.

It recognises the alternative domains of the same provider, for example gmail.com and googlemail.com, or yahoo.com and yahoo.co.uk, and merges them into one group.

How to use

  1. Paste your email list or upload a file. Each line may contain extra information such as a name or phone number.
  2. Choose to group by provider or by exact domain.
  3. Turn on the options you need: remove duplicates, keep the whole line, or collect small groups under "Other".
  4. Click "Filter & group", then download a single group, several groups as a ZIP, or merge the selected groups into one file.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between grouping by provider and by domain?

Grouping by provider merges all domains of the same company (for example every Yahoo domain). Grouping by domain keeps each domain separate, which is useful for analysing business addresses.

Are extra columns on each line kept?

Yes. Turn on "Keep the whole line" and the result files will contain the full original line instead of only the email address.

What is the "Other" group?

When you collect small groups, any domain with fewer emails than your threshold is moved into one shared group to keep the list tidy.
